Boys Choir of Springfield is an auditioned ensemble of boys in grades 3-6. In our previous seasons we have performed in many wonderful venues. Some of these include: a 2008 performance with Casting Crown in the new Hammons Arena, Pre-concert performances for the Harlem Girls Choir, Moscow Boys Choir and Springfield Symphony, Christmas at MSU, featured act for opening day of “Old Time Country Christmas” at Silver Dollar City, ArtsFest on Walnut St., “Night of the Masters” at Central Assembly of God, and seven performances of the National Anthem for the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals! In January of 2004, Boys Choir of Springfield performed as a select ensemble for the Missouri Music Educators Association at Tan-Tar-A. Our 2008-09 season holds the promise of many more tremendous performance opportunities. Mark Lawley is the new director of BCS.
Boys Choir of Springfield Alumni:

The alumni featured above went on to great success following their time with the Boys Choir. They all continued singing and between them earned recognition in the Missouri All State Choir, South Central All District Honor Choir, performances at National ACDA, Regional ACDA, State MMEA Convention, MSHSAA State Solo and Ensemble Festival, leading roles in their high school musicals, and featured roles in Springfield Little Theatre and Stained Glass Theatre. Some of them earned music scholarships that helped to fund their college education. As you can see from the pictures above they excelled in athletics as well. Boys Choir of Springfield helps develop boys into well rounded young men.
