It is my pleasure to invite YOU to audition for the ninth exciting season of Boys Choir of Springfield!
Boys Choir of Springfield is an auditioned ensemble of boys in grades 3-6. In our previous seasons we have performed in many wonderful venues. Some of these include: a 2008 performance with Casting Crowns in the brand new Hammons Arena, the Messiah Project, pre-concert performances for the Harlem Girls Choir, Moscow Boys Choir and Springfield Symphony, Christmas at MSU, featured act for opening day of “Old Time Country Christmas” at Silver Dollar City, ArtsFest on Walnut St., “Night of the Masters” at Central Assembly of God, and seven performances of the National Anthem for the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals! In January of 2004, Boys Choir of Springfield performed as a select ensemble for the Missouri Music Educators Association at Tan-Tar-A. Our 2009-10 season holds the promise of many more tremendous performance opportunities.
Boys Choir of Springfield is not-for-profit organization. There is no cost to be a part of this ensemble. All uniforms, music and tuition are provided free of charge. All you need is a beautiful singing voice, a positive attitude and a commitment to excellence! Parents are asked to become actively involved in the parent booster organization.
Auditions will be held at First and Calvary Presbyterian Church (on the corner of John Q. Hammons Pkwy. and Cherry St.) the week of April 6 and scheduled as needed. To schedule an audition, please have your parents call 496.1136. Also access the BCS blog at: www.boyschoirofspringfield.edublogs.org.

P.S. Boys Choir of Springfield would like to invite you and your students to our spring concert. It will be held on Thursday, May 7 at 7:00 pm in the Banquet Hall of Central Assembly of God. (1301 N. Boonville) There is no cost for admission to the concert. Immediately following the concert will be our annual “Sweet Sounds” event. This fundraiser includes a dessert buffet catered by several of Springfield’s finest dining establishments and a silent auction for some amazing baskets filled with all kinds of wonderful things. Tickets for the dessert buffet and auction are $5.00. Those 5 and under are admitted free of charge.
