Ernie Pratt SCMMEA Band Scholarship Application

Scholarship Information:

1. One scholarship in the approximate amount of $400 is given out per year to a graduating senior who will major in music at an approved college or university.
2. Student must be in good standing with their high school band, and must be a current member of the SCMMEA District Honor or Concert Band.
3. Completed application & essay are due to the SCMMEA Band Vice-President on clinic/concert day prior to the dinner break.
4. One scholarship recipient will be announced at the District Band Concert.

Essay Information:

1. Each candidate must submit an essay discussing the topic of how music has influenced their life.  This may include past experiences or future plans.  Please address why you have chosen music as your college major and future career.
2. There is no minimum or maximum limit on the essay. 
3. The essay may be submitted in handwritten or typed format.
4. Attach completed essay to this application.
